Fashion Friday: Fit Me Foundation

Okay guys I have some good news for everyone out there. I have been using the Cover Girl foundation clear skin or something to that effect. I wasn't a huge fan of this stuff because it was very heavy on my skin, but I ran out so I tried the new Maybelline Fit Me foundation. I have to tell you this is the greatest foundation I have tried so far. It is very light it goes on more smooth and I can barely feel it when it's on my face. I love this foundation because it has great converge on my skin because unfortunately I wasn't blessed with flawless skin.
Now all I need is a great bronzer to go with this foundation and then I'm all set.
My shade is 135 and it blends in nicely with my skin tone. It irritates me when my neck and face are different colors. A tip for you if your face does not match your neck after putting on foundation. When you are applying your foundation rub it in underneath your chin. Same with bronzer or powder, and I also run my powder down my neck a little to make my skin look nice and even.

Theme Thursday: The Pretty Committee

Okay now I have already talked about Massie Block. Today I am going to talk about the rest of the girls in the Pretty Committee. My favorites and least favorites.
First is the beta who wants nothing more, but to be alpha and take over the Pretty Committee. Alicia Rivera, the richest in the PC. She loves to tell and hear gossip and eventually she is the made the morning announcer at OCD.
Then there is Dylan Marvil, her mother has her own talk show. Dylan has two annoying sisters, but Dylan doesn't fit in with her family. Unlike the rest of the Marvils, Dylan likes to eat and burp.
Kristen Gregory is the poor girl in the book series. She acts as if she fits in with the rest of the PC, she wears designer clothes and acts like she lives in a fancy expensive place. The PC finally figures out Kristen's secret in the beginning of the series. Kristen plays sports and is very intelligent.
Last, but definitely not least is the new girl from Florida  Claire Lyons. Claire moves into the Block's guest house, which helps Claire become good friends with Massie and the rest of the PC. Claire in the only member of the PC who has a friend who isn't a PC member. Layne Abeley is the weird girl at OCD, but Claire's best friend. Cam Fisher is Claire's boyfriend for pretty much the whole book series.

Reading Wednesday: The Carrie Diaries

The Carrie Diaries is one of my favorite recent reads. I love Candace Bushnell's writing, it's fun, but she writes as if she was there.
Candace Bushnell is the author of Sex in the City. Carrie Diaries is about Carrie Bradshaw in high school. It is a series (I think), as of right now there are two books out The Carrie Diaries and Summer in the City. Carrie Bradshaw is a fun senior with best friends (who aren't in Sex in the City which I thought was weird). Sebastian Kydd is Carrie's love interest in the book. He is the regular new bad boy to the school.
I really liked the Carrie Diaries and I started the Summer in the City, but couldn't get into it. So when I read that one I will definitely tell you how it is.
Definitely give this book a shot and before January 14 because that is when the Pilot episode of The Carrie Diaries airs on the CW.

Tunes Tuesday: You Me At Six

Hey all today I have a special guest blogger. My brother is going to post today about his thoughts on his favorite band You Me At Six. If y'all enjoy his thoughts comment below and he may even blog on Tunes Tuesdays more often.

Sup guys Samm's brother Chris here. Today I'm going to tell you why you need to check out the greatest British band You Me At Six.
I've been in to them since about 2008 but until about a year ago is when I really got into them. You Me At Six is five lads from Weybridge, Surrey and the band formed in 2004. While being a big deal in the UK, the guys struggled on some of the past Warped tours that they played. Although this past 2012 Warped Tour they drew in some pretty big crowds and have really had some big jumps in the U.S.A for fans.
I went to this past tour got to meet the YMAS lads and when I saw their set I ended up crowd surfing for the first time. It was a really sick experience. I really do suggest that anyone reading this go check these guys out. They have three studio albums(1. Take Off Your Colours, 2. Hold Me Down, 3. Sinners Never Sleep) and all are different, but still have the You Me At Six sound that everyone loves to hear.
The first album i suggest people to check out is Hold Me Down. I believe that this album is their most radio friendly record. My favorite song by the band has to be Jealous minds Think Alike off the Take Off Your Coulours record.
I hope you have all enjoyed this brief blog on You Me At Six. If you are in the London area on December 8th then go to Wembley Arena and watch YMAS Final Night Of Sin show. Or be like me and order the live DVD from that nights show.

 Keep the Vibe Rockin

Movie Monday: Silver Linings Playbook

Happy Monday everyone. I'm sorry about my absence this past week, but I am back and today I am telling you about my new movie obsession. Silver Linings Playbook is the one. I went to see it this past week and I was very excited to see the movie. For two reasons: Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. I am in love with these two and this is my favorite movie from both of them.
Silver Linings Playbook has comedy and drama. I'm not sure what genre this is classified as, but in my few I would put it in the dark comedy. Which makes no sense at all, but go watch the movie and tell me what genre you should put this movie in.
Now this movie is about Bradley's Cooper character Pat just comes back from a mental institute. Where he served time for almost beating a man to death after finding him in the shower with his wife. Pat meets Jennifer Lawrence's character, Tiffany who knows Pat's ex wife, after agreeing to a deal Pat has to perform with Tiffany at a dance competition.
My favorite part of the movie was Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper's on set chemistry. It was perfect and felt real.
Tell me what you thought of the movie down below in the comments.

Show Sunday: Full House

If you were anything like me when you were growing up you wanted to be a Tanner. After school I would come home and watch that show until it was time for me to go to gymnastics.
Full House is a sitcom about the Tanner family, DJ, Stephanie, Michelle were being raised by their dad, uncle Jesse, and dad's best friend Joey after their mothers death. Throuhout the series which consisted of 8 seasons you meet different characters. Jesse's wife and kids, DJ's best friend Kimmy Kibler who lives next door and Steve DJ's boyfriend for some time.
This show is a great family show, full of laughs and tears and even some moments that every family goes through now and again.
I love all 8 seasons of this show, but later on in the series it does start to get better. The characters develope and get older and their acting does get better.
The end of this series was a little dissappointing just like any series finale of a really good show would be. Unfortunately the cast never got back together do have a reunion show which is sad, because I love when shows do that. I think Full House should have a reunion episode just to see what the characters are doing.
Go watch this show if you haven't already and tell me your thoughts about it below in the comments.

Theme Thursday: The Clique Movie

Lisi Harrison made a clique movie about the first Clique book. The Clique movie is basically the same thing the first book is. You meet Claire Lyons and the rest of the Pretty Committee. Massie Block is a total snob to everyone that isn't in her clique.
The movie is good, but the acting isn't the great. It kind of seems like this is all of the main actresses first movie. The unknown actors and actresses was actually something I liked about this movie. This movie wasn't a big expensive production, but it definitely represents the Clique book very well.
I would recommend reading the book series before you watch the movie, if you are interested in this movie at all.

Fashion Friday: Max Factor Vivid Impact Mascara

I have been using Max Factor Vivid Impact Mascara for some time now and I have loved this product. In the picture above the blue color looks like a bright royal blue, when in reality or at least the one I have is a navy blue.
The color is really pretty on my eyes. When you finish your look off with the pink highlighting topcoat your lashes look long and fierce.
Before I used this product I used the Maybelline Great Lash mascara, which I didn't hate, but the Maybelline mascara seem to go on my lashes very clumpy. Where as the Max Factor mascara's brush has a bunch of little bristles which is perfect for your lashes to go on without clumping.
My mom got me this product at Albertson's which was closing down and she got it for very cheap. I have looked online on Sephora and Max Factor's websites. The only place I can find this product is on Amazon, for about $5 without shipping, total it won't be anymore then $10.

Theme Thursday: The Clique Massie

Massie is the alpha in the Clique series. Massie has money, fashion, and popularity. Although Massie can be a brat at times thinking she is better then everyone. Massie also has some good moments, like letting Claire into the Pretty Committee, finally making amens with Layne Alebey.
I read about half the book series until the movie came out, I thought Massie's name was pronuced like Macey, but it's actually pronouced Masse. Very interesting name choice, but it fits Massie's character very well.
I want to hear from everyone who has read the series or is reading the series, let me know down below what you think of Massie

Tunes Tuesday: American Heart

"And it beats like a drum down in New Orleans
Sings like a Motown melody
It dreams like California
Bigger than the Texas sky
It bleeds
It scars
But it shines when times get hard
And you can’t break an American heart"
Faith Hill has never been one of my favorite country singers, but now with her new single American Heart I can't make up my mind. American Heart is Faith Hill's new single off her album Illusion.
I like the lyrics throughout the whole song, but Faith Hill's voice is very squeaky and annoying. I wish that Carrie Underwood, Miranda Lambert, or Jana Kramer would have American Heart was their single as oppose to Faith Hill.
I want your opinion on Faith Hill's new song and voice down below in the comments.

Movie Monday: The Hunger Games

"May the odds be ever in your favor!"
The Hunger Games is one of the most popular movies this year. It is a about 12 districts sending one boy and one girl to fight to the death. Katniss volunteers as tribute for her little sister Primrose. Peeta is the boy from district 12 that joins Katniss to try and live throughout the whole Hunger Games.
I am a huge fan of this movie and cannot wait for the two following, Mockingjay and Catching Fire.
The movie is full of action and suspense, even a little romance throughout the movie. There isn't really any flaws in this movie besides that after seeing it twice it's one of those movies that I don't want to see again. I have this problem with a bunch of movies. If it has a lot of suspense and really draws me in the first time I see it, the second and third time it is very boring and dull.
My favorite character is Katniss she is so talented with a bow and arrow and has really pretty hair. The weirdest part in the movie is when you see the people at the hunger games, not the kids, but the adults watching the hunger games.
If you haven't already seen this movie definitely go check it out, and check out the books as well.

Show Sunday: Hart of Dixie

I just finished the first season of Hart of Dixie on Netflix and I have enjoyed this show so much.
Hart of Dixie is about a surgeon named Zoe Hart, after being rejected for a surgeon position she moves to Blue Bell, Alabama and takes over at her dead father's town doctor's office. After dealing with the town's sweetheart Lemon who hates Zoe, Zoe makes friends with Lavon Hayes, the town mayor, Wade, her neighbor, and George, who is Lemon's fiance.
Now the season starts out pretty good, with the first few episodes having the same type of plot line. Throughout the season you see Zoe develops feelings for George who is getting married to Lemon. Wade has feelings for Zoe, Lavon has feelings for Lemon. This whole show has a bunch of different love interests with different people going on.
The last episode of the season frustrates me and I don't want to give anything away so I won't tell you what happens, but let me tell you it's not what I wanted to see. Hopefully season 2 will make everything better.
Make sure to watch Hart of Dixie which is on CW or you can catch up with the first season on Netflix.

Samm's Saturday: Nicholas Sparks

Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite authors, he is also very well known. Nicholas Sparks has  written many famous books such as, A Walk to Remember, The Last Song, Dear John, The Lucky One, Safe Haven, and of course The Notebook.
I have read The Last Song, Dear John, and The Lucky One so far and all those movies plus the movie A Walk to Remember. Every single one of these books were phenomenal, the movies of course do not compare, but no movies ever do. The only thing I do not like is that something bad always happens at the end. Something that doesn't make the story a happy ending.
My favorite book was The Last Song and my least favorite book was Dear John. My favorite Nicholas Sparks movie was A Walk to Remember.
I'm adding Safe Haven and The Notebook to my reading list and will let you know my thoughts after they are read.
Let me know what your favorite Nicholas Sparks book is, and also I want to know if you watch the movies before or after you read the book.

Fashion Friday: CoverGirl Lipslicks

Alright so I don't know about you, but I cannot stand sticky lip gloss. I get really irritated and then end up taking off the shiny lip gloss leaving my lips dry and dull. So I have been on the hunt for a shiny lip gloss that doesn't give me sticky lips.
I tried the Cover Girl Lipslicks now it is more of a lip stick by it has more of a glossy feel to it when you put it on, which I love. The pros of this product are that you only have to apply one product instead of a lip stick and then a lip gloss, but the con is that the lipslicks don't seem to last long.
I have purchased two colors in the lipslicks first was Princess it's a dark pink color and I think it's the left one in the picture above. Then I ran out of Princess and when I was at the store to purchase it again I couldn't find it I decided on Clear instead. Now when you think of Clear lipstick you would think it doesn't have a tint, but it does have a tint and it's a very light bright pink color. When you are purchasing these colors remember they are more of a lip gloss so if you see a bright pink one it won't look to crazy on your lips.

Theme Thursday: The Clique Books

Alright this month with it being my birthday month I have decided to write about my favorite book series. The Clique Series by Lisi Harrison, author of Monster High and The Alphas.
Now kicking things off you probably want to know what The Clique books are about.
Massie is the Alpha at OCD short for Octavian Country Day, Massie and her four best friends all make up the Pretty Committee. Kristen, The poor jock, Dylan the red head who loves to eat, Alicia the rich Beta who wants to run the Pretty Committee, and then there is Claire, she is the new girl and at first starts out on the bottom of the social ladder, but soon she and Massie become best friends.
Now I did start this series when I was 13 and with the series having a total 21 books, including the Cliquetionary, which is a book on the slang of The Clique characters.
Now my favorite book in the Clique series is book number 5 called The Pretty Committee Strikes Back. Now the books are very hard to describe, but I like this book the best because it kept me reading(like them all). The Pretty Committee Strikes Back is filled with drama and fun.
My least favorite book was probably the 11th book in the series, The prequel of the series called The Clique: Charmed and Dangerous. I picked this one as my least favorite because I feel like this one is when Lisi Harrison started going downhill with this series.
I do hope you read the series or maybe if you are to old for the series you get it for a little girl going into middle school, because I know this was really fun to read in middle school.
